I caught the bug!

Well I seemed to have caught a bug...the tired bug :) I think all of us mothers can relate.

I knew I had it today when I was saying more nonsense words than my little son.

I knew I had it when I couldn't even walk through my kitchen without running into the cupboards...

I knew I had it for sure when I put the empty cookie wrapper in the refrigerator yesterday...and my husband just looked at me like I was nuts and said.."Uhhh....honey...." until I realized what I was doing :)

It seems to be spreading too, cause my husband has it too. I knew he had it the other night when I asked him to turn on the monitor..and he turned on his alarm clock...

..and when the heater kicked on in our house and he rolled over and asked me what I had put in the dryer...

Sometimes I think he has the bug worse than me...poor guy..I wonder what weird things he is doing at work! :)

I got words of wisdom from my mother the other day - "You will be tired the rest of your life. You will never feel rested no matter how much sleep you get..so you better get used to it! " Thanks mom....

So as I get used to being tired all the time, I will just have to be extra careful on the weird stuff I do. I better make sure I don't put my son in the refrigerator to take a nap...or climb into my son's crib to take my nap!

What have you done lately that showed that you have the tired bug? I would love to hear about them so we can all laugh hysterically at something that is really not that funny...just cause we can!

I was so tired when my children were small!! Now that they are 19, 17 and 12 I'm finally used to be up in the middle of night. There's different reasons for being up in the night now! Mostly worry!! I decided to make the most of my time and wrote a book called, HOW TO BE A ZEN MAMA. And I work on a blog, too, at www.zen-mama.com.

I love the picture! I often wonder what the world would be like if we were all sufficiently rested. I probably wouldn't walk upstairs only to stand there for five minutes struggling to remember what the heck I was going up there for.
