Life sure slows down...

When you have a child and when you are home all day with them, life sure slows down. Before staying home and having my little one, everything was rush, rush, rush! "We got this going on tonight, we got to run over there in the morning, we got to go do that after work"...and all you look forward to is the weekend to rest a little even though you still have a million things you want to get done then too!

Well not anymore (don't get me wrong, I am still super busy...but you just start to look at life differently) ...

A funny example of how life has realllllly slowed down for me...I just took the Christmas decorations down the other day! It is APRIL! lol.....

At first it was hard to learn to slow down.  But I think I have finally learned to take each day as a blessing and cherish the little things. Yesterday, I just sat and watched my little one crawl around the floor and chase after his toys! It was amazing how he has learned how to move around like that without anyone teaching him how to do it! It was amazing to watch his eyes as he follows a toy, his smile when he saw I was watching, his determination (and his little grunts of effort) to get that toy that kept rolling away, and his grin of joy and pride when he finally reached it!
Is there much better joy and pride in life then to watch your child - the one you carried for 9 months...stayed up with for many nights...cried with...laughed with - learn and grow. I am truly blessed and I am glad I am learning to slow life down so I can realize it to the full extent.

Slow down today (at least for a sec) and think about what blessings you have in your life. What do you thank God for today? What has he blessed you with? Go give that blessing a hug and tell them how much you love them today!

Here are my blessings...

I never knew I could love two people so much...
